Description
A magmeter is a magnetic flow meter used to measure the velocity of electrically conductive liquids flowing through a pipe. Based on Faraday's Law of Electromagnetic Induction, it induces a voltage in the liquid by passing it through a magnetic field. This induced voltage is proportional to the fluid's velocity, allowing the device to calculate its volumetric flow rate.
